"Treat all guests as royalty" Carl advises his aspiring innkeeper students. Now, over 17 years after he and Dinie made their dream come true, they have lots of return guests in their 3 Victorian-era houses which they artfully adapted to accommodate "kings and queens".

Welcome to historic Bucks County (PA) and Hunterdon County (NJ) New Hope and Lambertville are sister communities snuggled on opposite sides of the Delaware River, about midway between New York City and Philadelphia. This area is famous for its breathtaking natural beauty through all four seasons, with many attractions, historic sites, and seasonal events for you and your family to enjoy.

The area's blend of woodlands, lakes mountains old stone farms and historic sites translates into a wonderful destination for the independent and discerning traveller. In winter, skiers can cross-country ski along the canal towpath or schuss down the slopes. This is the place where George Washington really 'slept', its past preserved for today's national and international visitors. Lambertville and New hope offer world-class art galleries, antique and one-of-a-kind collectible shops...and not one chain-store to be found!

Here you will find a year-round slate of balloon festivals, antique auctions, agricultural fairs, winter carnivals, house and garden tours and harvest events-all to ensure you a memorable experience.

Rediscover this region in each of its changing seasons. You may still find a friendly country atmosphere, mixed with city convenience and a casual sophistication. After all we've been hosting weary travellers along the 'Old York Road' for over 300 years. And the vistas that attracted the early Quaker settlers are as impressive now as they were then. Whether from near or far, on business or leisure, we're here to ensure your visit will be an occasion to remember.

On busline from NYC, with a barn for bike storage too! There is a Resident Innkeeper on the premises, and the building has a central fire alarm system.
